The unique diffraction geometry of ESRF beamline ID06-LVP offers continuous static 2D or azimuthally resolving data collections over all accessible solid angles available to the tooling geometry. The system is built around a rotating custom-built Pilatus3 CdTe 900k-W detector from Dectris, in a configuration equivalent to three butted 300k devices. As a non-standard geometry, here the method of alignment, correction and subsequent integration for any data collected over all solid angles accessible, or over any azimuthal range contained therein, are provided and illustrated by parameterizing and extending existing pyFAI routines.

However, limited information is available in lactating women receiving other vaccine platforms used in developing countries, such as the inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine BBIBP-CorV (Sinopharm) and the non-replicating adenovirus vaccines Sputnik V (Gamaleya Institute) and ChAdOx1-S (Oxford AstraZeneca).
Methods: Here, we evaluated anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG and IgA levels in both serum and milk samples using a longitudinal and a cross-sectional cohort of 208 breastfeeding vaccinated women from Argentina with or without previous SARS-CoV-2 infection.
Background: We carried out a meta-analysis since there is not enough evidence to recommend for or against therapeutic-dose anticoagulation compared with thromboprophylaxis in noncritically ill patients hospitalized with Covid-19.
Methods: We performed a systematic literature search using PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and MedRxiv for randomized trials that included therapeutic-dose with low-molecular-weight heparin (LMW) or thromboprophylaxis with LMW heparin in noncritically ill patients admitted to the hospital with Covid-19. We identified five open-label studies for analysis with a total of 3220 patients.
Introduction. The degree of Dornic acidity (DA) is an indirect measure of milk contamination and quality. In freshly expressed milk, DA ranges between 1.

Federated learning (FL) allows model training from local data collected by edge/mobile devices while preserving data privacy, which has wide applicability to image and vision applications. A challenge is that client devices in FL usually have much more limited computation and communication resources compared to servers in a data center. To overcome this challenge, we propose PruneFL -a novel FL approach with adaptive and distributed parameter pruning, which adapts the model size during FL to reduce both communication and computation overhead and minimize the overall training time, while maintaining a similar accuracy as the original model.

Game mechanics, which are directly linked to human desires, stand out as training, evaluation, and improvement tools. Immersive virtual reality (VR) facilitates training without risk to participants, evaluates the impact of an incorrect action/decision, and creates a smart training environment.

In that sense, this paper presents two main aims developed: the improvement of a virtual navigation system through the results of previous user studies and mixed research (quantitative and qualitative) improved based on the user perception for educational and professional uses. The VR system used is based on Unreal Engine programming of the HTC Vive sensor.

Background: Potential advantages of bemiparin compared to enoxaparin are a longer half-life, once-a-day dosage, and possibly a better safety profile due to the more selective antagonistic action toward Xa coagulation factor. We evaluated the efficacy and safety of bemiparin compared with enoxaparin as prophylaxis or treatment of venous thromboembolic disease.
Materials And Methods: We searched PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Clinical Trials.
New calibration tools in the pyFAI suite for processing scattering experiments acquired with area detectors are presented. These include a new graphical user interface for calibrating the detector position in a scattering experiment performed with a fixed large area detector, as well as a library to be used in Jupyter notebooks for calibrating the motion of a detector on a goniometer arm (or any other moving table) to perform diffraction experiments.

EtOH is centrally metabolized into acetaldehyde, which has been shown to be responsible for some of the neurophysiological and cellular effects of EtOH. Although some of the consequences of chronic EtOH administration on cell oxidative status have been described, the mechanisms by which acute EtOH administration affects the brain's cellular oxidative status and the role of acetaldehyde remain to be elucidated in detail.

The construction of ID16B was driven by research areas with major scientific and societal impact such as nanotechnology, earth and environmental sciences, and bio-medical research. Based on a canted undulator source, this long beamline provides hard X-ray nanobeams optimized mainly for spectroscopic applications, including the combination of X-ray fluorescence, X-ray diffraction, X-ray excited optical luminescence, X-ray absorption spectroscopy and 2D/3D X-ray imaging techniques.

In this study, we used exploratory structural equation modeling (ESEM) as an alternative approach to evaluate the measurement invariance of the Spanish version of the Physical Self-Description Questionnaire (PSDQ). The two versions were administered to large samples of Australian and Spanish adolescents.

A 6-month regimen with isoniazid is considered as the standard of care, but patient adherence is a major shortcoming. We carried out an open-label, single-arm intervention study to assess the efficacy, the completion rate and the tolerability of a 3-month regimen with isoniazid plus rifampin.

Methods: This prospective study included 1000 consecutive patients with chest pain seen at a CPU and a second group comprising the remaining patients seen for other complaints. Data on the patients' clinical characteristics, final diagnosis, destination (i.
Background: A major difficulty associated with the use of standard therapy with isoniazid for latent tuberculosis infection is poor patient adherence to therapy because of the prolonged course required. Shorter courses of therapy involving > or =2 drugs have been proposed as an alternative to standard therapy, but they have not undergone enough testing.
Methods: We performed a meta-analysis to determine the equivalence of daily short-course therapy with rifampin plus isoniazid for 3 months and standard therapy with isoniazid for 6-12 months.

An observational cohort study was performed to assess the effectiveness of a cytomegalovirus antigenemia (CMV-Ag) assay designed to predict clinical CMV disease in patients with AIDS. Eighty-six HIV-infected patients with CD4+ cell counts of < 100/mm3, positive CMV IgG, and no previous CMV disease were enrolled. Thirty-eight (44%) patients had at least one positive CMV antigenemia test, ten of whom eventually developed CMV focal disease.

Objective: To assess the performance of the Study of the Efficacy of Nosocomial Infection Control (SENIC) risk index for the evaluation of the risk of surgical-site infection (SSI) in a country other than the United States, having a different health system.
Setting: 350-bed university hospital in Spain belonging to the National Health System (Insalud).
Design: Observational cohort study of 1,019 patients who underwent consecutive surgery from January to December 1992.
Objectives: To describe the clinical presentation of HIV disease in older patients.
Methods: In the period 1989-1996 we reviewed the medical records of 100 patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection aged 50 years or older and, 197 controls among HIV-infected patients aged 15-40 years, who attended six institutions in the autonomous community of Valencia (Spain).
Results: Older patients were mostly males (86%), men who have sex with men (42%) or unknown (20%) as exposure categories.
Nutritional obesity induced by the ingestion of hyperlipidic diet implies a high consume of lipids, which might be involved in oxygen metabolism. Chromosome deletions were analyzed by means of loss of heterozygosity analysis using a restriction fragment length polymorphism assay. Allelic losses were also detected by polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-single-stranded conformation polymorphism (SSCP) analysis of a polymorphic site in intron 2 of the p53 gene.
