Continuous decoding of hand kinematics has been recently explored for the intuitive control of electroencephalography (EEG)-based Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs). Deep neural networks (DNNs) are emerging as powerful decoders, for their ability to automatically learn features from lightly pre-processed signals. We present the high-variance electrode artifact removal (HEAR) algorithm to remove transient electrode pop and drift (PD) artifacts from electroencephalographic (EEG) signals. Background And Objective: Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and neurofeedback-guided motor imagery (MI) have attracted considerable interest in neurorehabilitation, given their ability to influence neuroplasticity.
