Gestational chronodisruption, increasingly common due to irregular light exposure, disrupts maternal-fetal circadian signaling, leading to long-term health issues in offspring. We utilized a chronic photoperiod shifting model (CPS) in pregnant rats to induce chronodisruption and investigated the potential mitigating effects of maternal melatonin supplementation (CPS + Mel). Male and female offspring were evaluated at 3 ages (90, 200, and 400 days of age) for metabolic profiles, hormonal responses, cytokine levels, and adipose tissue activity.

We aimed to assess the effect of apremilast treatment on inflammation, with outcomes measured by PsAMRIS and MRI-WIPE.
Methods: MOSAIC was a phase 4, multicentre, single-arm, open-label study conducted at 29 sites across ten countries (Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, and the USA).
Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of intravenous (IV) secukinumab in patients with active psoriatic arthritis (PsA).
Methods: INVIGORATE-2 (NCT04209205) was a randomized, placebo-controlled, phase 3 trial. Patients with active PsA were randomized 1:1 to receive IV secukinumab (6 mg/kg at baseline followed by 3 mg/kg every four weeks [q4w]) or placebo.
Objective: Our goal was to assess the efficacy and safety of intravenous (IV) secukinumab for the treatment of adults with active axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) in INVIGORATE-1.
Methods: INVIGORATE-1 (NCT04156620) was a randomized, double-blind, parallel-group, phase 3 trial in patients with active axSpA (either radiographic or nonradiographic). Patients were randomized one to one to receive IV secukinumab (6 mg/kg at baseline followed by 3 mg/kg every four weeks) or IV placebo for 16 weeks.
Background: Soft tissue sarcomas (STS) are rare malignant tumors of mesenchymal origin. They are associated with genetic and environmental risk factors. Their clinical manifestations are nonspecific, requiring a high level of suspicion.

Background And Purpose: MR-guided radiotherapy adds the precision of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to the therapeutic benefits of a linear accelerator. Prior to each therapeutic session, an MRI generates a significant volume of imaging data ripe for analysis. Radiomics stands at the forefront of medical imaging and oncology research, dedicated to mining quantitative imaging attributes to forge predictive models.

While ethnic differences in driver gene mutations have been documented, the South American population remains understudied at the genomic level, despite facing a rising burden of CRC. We analyzed tumors of 40 Chilean CRC patients (Chp) using next-generation sequencing and compared them to data from mainly Caucasian cohorts (TCGA and MSK-IMPACT).

Over time, the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) has gradually improved due to the development of modern chemotherapy and targeted therapy regimens. However, due to the inherent heterogeneity of this condition, identifying reliable predictive biomarkers for targeted therapies remains challenging.

Ketone bodies (KBs) levels are recognized as helpful to check compliance to the KDT and to attempt titration of the diet according to the individualized needs. KBs might undergo inter-individual and intra-individual variability and can be affected by several factors.

Methods We performed a randomized prospective study with 30 or 70 mL transcervical Foley balloon catheters in combination with oxytocin during labor induction at term. A 10 mL group was included as a sham control group.

Although the incidence of uterine dehiscence in the late second trimester to the early third trimester is rare, it may be a potentially catastrophic complication if uterine rupture occurs. Here, we present two cases of uterine dehiscence at 28 and 29 weeks, which were diagnosed on prenatal ultrasound and confirmed intraoperatively at the time of cesarean delivery.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the abaloparatide microstructured transdermal system (abaloparatide-sMTS) as an alternative to the SC formulation. This phase 3, noninferiority study (NCT04064411) randomly assigned postmenopausal women with osteoporosis (N = 511) 1:1 to open-label abaloparatide administered daily via abaloparatide-sMTS or SC injection for 12 months.

Approximately 50% of children with Down syndrome (DS) have congenital heart disease. Our primary aim was to describe the frequency of EF and identify risk factors for its occurrence in a population of patients with DS after cardiac surgery.

To assess the feeding ecology of the endangered Cuvier's gazelle () in the Sahara desert, we used a multi-method approach combining faecal samples, direct observations, and the recording of indirect signs of feeding. We hypothesised that browser behaviour is the best foraging strategy for species living in hyper-arid environments, mainly due to long periods without grazing opportunities.

Methods: We evaluated the medical records of 17 females and 5 males with CDKL5 deficiency disorder (CDD) considering the long-term evolution, including the polygraphic video-EEG recordings.
Results: We recognized three disease phases.
Telehealth has been shown to be generally well accepted by patients and physicians with an increasing desire and utilization of this practice since the COVID-19 pandemic. However, studies looking specifically at the United States' low socioeconomic populations' interest in and barriers to accessing Telehealth care are limited. In this study, we performed a survey to determine the interest of pediatric and obstetric patients on and the reasons they may or may not choose Telehealth visits in a practice that serves solely California Medicaid (Medi-Cal) patients.

Background: Intravenous immune globulin (IVIG) for the treatment of dermatomyositis has not been extensively evaluated.
Methods: We conducted a randomized, placebo-controlled trial involving patients with active dermatomyositis. The patients were assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive IVIG at a dose of 2.
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a major cause of mortality worldwide, associated with a steadily growing prevalence. Notably, the identification of , , and mutations has markedly improved targeted CRC therapy by affording treatments directed against the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and other anti-angiogenic therapies. However, the survival benefit conferred by these therapies remains variable and difficult to predict, owing to the high level of molecular heterogeneity among patients with CRC.

Soluble guanylyl cyclase (sGC) participates in signaling pathways that induce vascular vasodilation and reduce vascular remodeling. However, when sGC is oxidized and/or loses its heme group, it does not respond to nitric oxide (NO), losing its vasodilating effects.

To meet this demand, a liquid chromatography diode array detector (LC-DAD) method has been developed, validated, and applied in analysis of cannabinoids in nine samples of plant materials of marijuana, six samples of marijuana cigarettes, five samples of hemp flowers, one sample of hemp cigarette, and two samples of Δ-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ-THC) fortified hemp flowers.

Background: A major challenge of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic is to better define "protective thresholds" to guide the global response. We aimed to characterize the longitudinal dynamics of the antibody responses in naturally infected individuals in Chile and compared them to humoral responses induced after immunization with CoronaVac-based on an inactivated whole virus -or the BNT162b2- based on mRNA-vaccines. We also contrasted them with the respective effectiveness and efficacy data available for both vaccines.

While published LC-UV methods were usually for twelve or less cannabinoids and might not achieve baseline separation of some critical pairs of cannabinoids, e.
