Refugee girls aged 12-19 in Wadi-Fira, Chad face significant barriers to accessing sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services, with mixed knowledge about contraceptive methods and community stigma surrounding premarital sex.
A study involving surveys and discussions revealed that older girls tend to have better SRH knowledge, and while 20.9% of participants had experienced sexual activity, only 18.0% were using modern contraceptives.
Despite societal pressures, some girls successfully accessed contraceptive methods, indicating a strong interest in SRH services, and midwives were noted as supportive in providing these services, highlighting a need for improved access and education.

Person-centered maternity care (PCMC), a critical component of quality of care, is respectful and responsive to an individual's needs and preferences. Factors related to poor PCMC are often exacerbated in humanitarian settings.
