[Experience with the use of short dental implants in the literature].

According to the literature short dental implants have often been used for the replacement of teeth in the daily praxis. The implantation of short dental implants raise a lot of questions. The autors's aim is to collect the most important experiences of current literature on the mentioned theme to oral implantologists.

[Realization of Tissue Care Concept by the use of Denti Bone Level implants. Three years of clinical experience in applying Denti BL implants].

Several scientific studies in the international literature discuss the practical application of preventive measures in implantation resulting in long-term success. These complex preventive principles are referred to as Tissue Care Concept (TCC). The authors' summarize the characteristics and prerequisites of TCC.

In the Department of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery of County Hospital of Szentes, different types of bone losses of the maxillary alveolar ridge have been treated since 1 March, 1990. Implant-prosthetic rehabilitation after segmental mandibulectomy and bone grafting.

This paper reports on 10 years of clinical experience with implant prosthodontic treatment of total edentulism. During this period, of the 735 implants that were inserted, only 19 were lost, a 97.4% success rate.

[Clinical study of tooth-to-implant supported fixed partial dentures].

The lack of the periodontal ligaments around the implants results an ankylotic fixation. The mobility of the osseointegrated implants is only one tenth of the mobility of the natural teeth. To connect a natural tooth and an implant as abutments in a fixed restoration is a special problem in the dentistry.

[Alveolar bone replacement by implantation of Ossynth and Ossnativ hydroxy apatite ceramics].

Natural and synthetic HA-granulate (made by SZIKKTI Budapest) were implanted to 91 patients by the authors with the aim of bone replacement. Follow up controls proved that the biomaterial has been incorporated without clinical symptoms and complaints in 87 percent. Biopsies taken from replacement site showed that the HAK isolated from natural substance could be incorporated into the calcified tissue and it is also able to help the formation of the new bone.

[Questions of principle and practice concerning the use of Diakor aluminum oxide in bioceramical oral endosseous implantation. III. Surgical intervention].

The osseointegration desired in interest of lasting success may be obtained but by means of an aseptic atraumatic operational technique which ensures the primary stability of the implant. It is pointed out that the infection free wound healing plays a decisive role in the lasting stability of the implant also the surgical planning and the method of avoiding complications are described.

[Principles and practical questions of oral endosseous implantation of DIAKOR aluminum oxide bioceramics. I. The implant].

The dental enossal implants made of Hungarian base material, the artificial aluminium oxide bioceramics artificial roots are put into circulation under the trade name DIAKOR./. By this type of the oral enossal implants the frames of prosthetical activity employing the surgical and prosthetical methods in combination are extended.

[The course of the mandibular canal in fossils and forensic material].

Authors have studied 220 fossil and 44 postmortem mandible-halves by measurements at identical points and in transverse slices cut in the plane of the teeth P2-M3. Parameters relevant to the course of the mandibular canal are summarized. Data add to the knowledge concerning the anatomy and topography of the mandible.
