Introduction: Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) has been traditionally viewed as a neuro-ophthalmic disorder, yet emerging evidence suggests broader systemic implications. Our study investigates the cardiometabolic outcomes associated with IIH through a comprehensive matched-cohort analysis.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of electronic health records from 2009 to 2024.
Background: Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is a neurological disorder characterized by elevated intracranial pressure, predominantly affecting young women with obesity. This study evaluates the effectiveness of semaglutide as an adjunctive therapy to standard IIH management using real-world data.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort analysis comparing IIH patients receiving semaglutide plus standard therapy versus standard therapy alone.
Hot-melt extrusion (HME) has emerged as a versatile and efficient technique in pharmaceutical formulation development, particularly for enhancing the solubility and bioavailability of poorly water-soluble drugs. This review delves into the fundamental principles of HME, exploring its application in drug delivery systems. A comprehensive analysis of polymers utilized in HME, such as hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, ethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, and polyvinylpyrrolidone, is presented, highlighting their roles in achieving controlled drug release and improved stability.

Respiratory distress in neonates presents challenges necessitating immediate airway management. This case series explores two instances of Ex-Utero Intra Partum Procedure (EXIT) for newborns with congenital airway obstructions. Case 1 describes a 34-year-old gravida 2 para 1 at 35 + 1 weeks with micrognathia.

Objectives: This paper explored the possibility of any ongoing transmission of Zika virus (ZIKV) in the Bhopal region of Central India, where the last outbreak of this disease was reported in 2018.
Materials And Methods: We screened a group of 75 febrile patients who had already tested negative for the locally endemic causes of fever like dengue, chikungunya, enteric fever, malaria, and scrub typhus and two groups of asymptomatic healthy individuals represented by blood donors (n = 75) and antenatal mothers (n = 75).
Introduction: Delayed Cerebral Ischemia (DCI) is a significant complication following aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) that can lead to poor outcomes. Machine learning techniques have shown promise in predicting DCI and improving risk stratification.
Methods: In this study, we aimed to develop machine learning models to predict the occurrence of DCI in patients with aSAH.
Cerebral arteriovenous malformations can be classified into pure pial, mixed dural-pial, and pure dural types. Mixed pial-dural AVMs (DPAVM) are rare and often receive blood supply from dural meningeal arteries, including branches of the internal carotid, external carotid, and vertebral arteries. DPAVMs, which are usually large and complex, require delicate endovascular and surgical treatment methods.

Clinical presentation of PD includes motor and non-motor symptoms. The interplay between pathogenic factors such as increased oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, mitochondrial dysfunction and apoptosis are responsible for neurodegeneration in PD.

We compared the incidence rates of delivery room intubation, surfactant replacement therapy, pulmonary air leak syndrome, and pre-term very low birth weight infant mortality, before and after T-piece use. Bi-monthly neonatal resuscitation training sessions were conducted for healthcare providers during the study period.

Methods: This retrospective study was conducted in a level III NICU of a tertiary care teaching hospital, south India. Eighteen neonates with hypoxemic respiratory failure due to persistent pulmonary hypertension of newborn with catecholamine refractory shock were studied.

COVID-19 era has put laparoscopic surgery a risk procedure because of theoretical risk of viral transmission of COVID-19. However, safe evacuation of stagnant air during laparoscopic surgery is also necessary to safeguard health care warriors. We are reporting experience of 24 laparoscopic surgeries using a closed smoke evacuation/filtration system using a ultra low-particulate air (ULPA) filtration capability (ConMed AirSeal System) at a single center between March 22, 2020, and May 30, 2020.

However, there is no clinical evidence of the relationship between peripheral monocytes and CI and clinical outcomes. Therefore we determine whether an increase in monocytes in the acute phase is useful to predict CI and functional outcomes in SAH patients.
