Platelet Aggregation Studies and Coagulation Profile in Sickle Cell Disease in Symptomatic and Steady State Patients.

To determine whether there is higher degree of platelet and/ or coagulation activation in sickle cell anaemia (SS) patients in complications and with clinical risk factors. A cross sectional study was conducted at a tertiary health care centre in central India with study groups: sickle cell disease (SCD): sickle cell anaemia (SS) and sickle cell trait (AS) consisting of 100 subjects each and controls (AA) with 40 subjects. Platelet aggregation (PA) with ADP, collagen and epinephrine, PT and aPTT were performed in all subjects and PA with ristocetin in ten candidates of each group.

A Rare Cutaneous Malignancy: A Primary Cutaneous Carcinosarcoma with Adnexal Epithelial Component (Trichoblastic Carcinosarcoma) of Left Temporal Region.

Primary cutaneous carcinosarcoma (PCCS) is a rare cutaneous biphasic tumour with just 120 cases being reported till date. The epithelial component trichoblastic carcinoma/ malignant trichoblastoma (trichoblastic carcinosarcoma) is even rarer, so is the present case. An eighty years old male patient presented with a rapidly progressing ulceroproliferative nodular growth on the left temporal region.

Squash Cytology Diagnosing Plasmacytoma of Frontal Bone as First Presentation of Nonsecretory Multiple Myeloma.

Plasmacytoma of bone is one of the criteria for diagnosing plasma cell myeloma (multiple myeloma). A plasmacytoma involving a frontal bone is unusual, with only few being reported so far. Also, when typical clinical presentation is absent, diagnosis is usually not suspected clinicoradiologically.

The Indian Academy of Cytologists Guidelines for Reporting Serous Effusion (IACGRSE): An Interobserver Agreement Analysis.

Context: The Indian Academy of Cytologists published Guidelines and categories for Reporting Serous Effusions (IACGRSE) in 2020 to improve consistency and reproducibility of fluid cytology reporting and to guide patient management.

Aims: To evaluate category-wise agreement while using IACGRSE 2020 categories. To analyze interobserver agreement among participants with different level of training and years of experience.

The first case of proliferative fasciitis of tongue coexistent with squamous cell carcinoma: Case report of a rare lesion.

Proliferative fasciitis (PF) is a rare pseudosarcomatous myofibroblastic benign tumor, a subcutaneous counterpart of proliferative myositis. Usually seen in upper extremities, no case has yet been documented in tongue or any other subsites in oral cavity. The present case becomes the first to be reported at this site as well as the first case of synchronous coexistent PF with squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of tongue.
