Aim: The aim of our pilot study is to analyze the relationship between dental caries and albumin and calcium levels in serum and saliva in adolescent patients with varying caries experience as determined by their caries progression between the age-group of 9 and 19 years.

Materials And Methods: A total of 20 subjects were selected based on their level of caries progression and divided into four groups of subjects, five in each as follows: group I-enamel caries, group II-dentinal caries, group III-pulpal caries, and group IV-control group. The saliva and serum were collected under standardized conditions from selected patients and analyzed for the presence of albumin and calcium, and then they were correlated to the same level in serum.

Stoichiometric ZnO clusters in the subnanometer size regime have been the topic of several computational and mass spectrometry studies that showed the particular stability of the stoichiometric species relative to nonstoichiometric species (ZnO, ≠ ). In the current study, we present the angle-resolved anion photoelectron (PE) spectra of stoichiometric ZnOclusters (2 ≤ ≤ 5), which are interpreted with supporting computational studies that include natural orbital ionization calculations on detachment transition cross sections. All spectra show evidence of D ring structures, which had been predicted to be the most stable structures in previous computational studies.

Background: Bacterial community found in biodynamic preparations (BD500-BD507) can help improve soil health, plant development, yield, and quality. The current work describes a metagenomic investigation of these preparations to identify the bacterial communities along with the functional diversity present within them.

Results: Metagenome sequencing was performed using the Illumina MiSeq platform, which employs next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology, to provide an understanding of the bacterial communities and their functional diversity in BD preparations.

Plant ATP-binding cassette (ABC) protein family is the largest multifunctional highly conserved protein superfamily that transports diverse substrates across biological membranes by the hydrolysis of ATP and is also the part of the several other biological processes like cellular detoxification, growth and development, stress biology, and signaling processes. In the agriculturally important legume crop Cajanus cajan, a genome-wide identification and characterization of the ABC gene family was carried out. Although the banana whole-genome sequence is available, the distribution of GST genes on banana chromosomes, their subcellular localization, gene structure, their evolutionary relation with each other, conserved motifs, and their roles in banana are still unknown.
