The Effect of Laser Acupuncture on Semen Parameters in Infertile Men With Oligospermia: A Randomized Clinical Trial.

Currently, infertility is a main concern, and it is estimated that 15% of couples are considered infertile. Conventional therapies such as vitamins, antioxidants and supplements have been used widely, but they may not be sufficiently effective. This study evaluated the effect of laser acupuncture on semen parameters in infertile patients with oligospermia.

Assessment of the Prognostic Effect of Blood Urea Nitrogen to Serum Albumin Ratio in Patients with Fournier's Gangrene in a Referral Center.

Purpose: To assess the prognostic effect of blood urea nitrogen to serum albumin ratio in patients with Fournier's gangrene (FG) in a referral center in order to reduce the mortality of FG patients.

Materials And Methods: Patients with FG were admitted and enrolled consecutively in this study from March 2008 to April 2020. Statistical analysis was done to evaluate the differences between the two groups and to identify the best cutoff value to predict mortality and the need for intensive care.

Factors Related to Mortality in Patients with Fournier's Gangrene or Necrotising Fasciitis; a 10-year Cross-Sectional Study.

Introduction: Fournier's gangrene (FG) is a life-threatening disease, even with early diagnosis and administration of vigorous treatment, its mortality rate is high. This study aimed to evaluate the factors relate to mortality in patients with FG or necrotising fasciitis managed in a referral center.

Methods: This retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted on patients managed in a tertiary referral center, Tehran, Iran, from March 2009 to March 2019, with diagnosis of FG or necrotising fasciitis.

Thermally induced gas flows in ratchet channels with diffuse and specular boundaries.

A net gas flow can be induced in the gap between periodically structured surfaces held at fixed but different temperatures when the reflection symmetry along the channel axis is broken. Such a situation arises when one surface features a ratchet structure and can be augmented by altering the boundary conditions on different parts of this surface, with some regions reflecting specularly and others diffusely. In order to investigate the physical mechanisms inducing the flow in this configuration at various Knudsen numbers and geometric configurations, direct simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) simulations are employed using transient adaptive subcells for collision partner selection.
