As the population of urban areas is increasing continually, analysis of the particulate concentration dynamics in these areas is crucial. Therefore, this study investigated the temporal and spatial variabilities of PM, PM, and PM over the urban area of Turin in the Po Valley, Italy, based on high-resolution data from a monitoring campaign conducted between 2018 and 2021 (including COVID-19 lockdown period). The study also performed a source direction analysis of the urban observation using the conditional bivariate probability function (CBPF).

This study presents results from a large, multicenter, retrospective analysis of Italian patients with metastatic PC (mPC) treated with Nab-paclitaxel/Gemcitabine (AG) as second or later line of treatment. Main objective of the study is to identify prognostic factors that could inform treatment decisions.

The Long-Term Benefit of Sacubitril/Valsartan in Patients with HFrEF: A 5-Year Follow-Up Study in a Real World Population.

Unlabelled: Heart failure (HF) is a progressive condition with an increasing prevalence, and the scientific evidence of heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) reports a 6% rate of 1-year mortality in stable patients, whereas, in recently hospitalized patients, the 1-year mortality rates exceed 20%. The Sacubitril/Valsartan (S/V), the first angiotensin receptor neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI), significantly reduced both HF hospitalization and cardiovascular mortality.

Aim Of The Study: to evaluate the effect of S/V in a follow-up period of 5 years from the beginning of the therapy.

The role of nanoliposomal irinotecan plus fluorouracil/leucovorin in the continuum of care of patients with metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.

Background: The NAPOLI-I trial showed better outcome of nanoliposomal irinotecan (nal-IRI) plus 5-fluorouracil/leucovorin (5-FU/LV) compared to 5-FU/LV in patients with advanced pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma cancer (advPDAC) progressed to gemcitabine-based therapy. This study aims to explore the real-world efficacy and safety of 5-FU/LV-nal-IRI.

Methods: This is a retrospective multicenter analysis including advPDAC patients receiving 5-FU/LV-nal-IRI after failure of gemcitabine-based therapy.

Management of maxillary artery pseudoaneurysm in Emergency Department: a narrative review.

Tooth extraction is a common procedure that is performed routinely and is associated with very few risks. The formation of a pseudoaneurysm as a direct result of tooth extraction has not been widely reported in published studies; it is more frequent as a complication of orthognathic surgery (1). The purpose of this paper is to describe the literature of maxillary artery pseudoaneurysm and its diagnosis and treatment in the Emer-gency Department.

Efficacy and Safety of Lanreotide Autogel and Temozolomide Combination Therapy in Progressive Thoracic Neuroendocrine Tumors (Carcinoid): Results from the Phase 2 ATLANT Study.

Introduction: Lanreotide autogel (LAN) and temozolomide (TMZ) are guidelines-recommended monotherapies for thoracic neuroendocrine tumors (carcinoids; T-NETs), but prospective data for both combined and monotherapies are lacking. The role that the microbiota plays in maintaining the health of vertebrates is widely accepted, particularly in the gastrointestinal system, where it is fundamental for immunity, development, and conversion of nutrients. Dysbiosis is an alteration of the microbiota which refers to a disturbed balance, which can cause a number of pathologies.

Activity and Safety of NAB-FOLFIRI and NAB-FOLFOX as First-Line Treatment for metastatic Pancreatic Cancer (NabucCO Study).

Effects of Sacubitril/Valsartan in Patients with High Arrhythmic Risk and an ICD: A Longitudinal Study.

Purpose: Patients affected by heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) receive clinical and functional beneficial effects from treatment with sacubitril/valsartan. However previous studies have shown that patients with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) could obtain even greater benefit, but only make up a only a small proportion of patients. INVIDIa was a retrospective, multicenter study, exploring the clinical efficacy of influenza vaccine in 300 cancer patients undergoing immunotherapy. Overall survival (OS) was immature at the initial report. We reported the final OS analysis from the original study population and within subgroups.

The dome of Santa Maria del Fiore, Florence Cathedral, was built between 1420 and 1436 by architect Filippo Brunelleschi and it is now cracking under its own weight. Engineering efforts are under way to model the dome's structure and reinforce it against further deterioration. According to some scholars, Brunelleschi might have built reinforcement structures into the dome itself; however, the only known reinforcement is a wood chain 7.

INfluenza Vaccine Indication During therapy with Immune checkpoint inhibitors: a transversal challenge. The INVIDIa study.

Aim: Considering the unmet need for the counseling of cancer patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors (CKI) about influenza vaccination, an explorative study was planned to assess flu vaccine efficacy in this population.

Methods: INVIDIa was a retrospective, multicenter study, enrolling consecutive advanced cancer outpatients receiving CKI during the influenza season 2016-2017.

Results: Of 300 patients, 79 received flu vaccine.

[Paclitaxel-coated balloons for in-stent restenosis treatment: long-term clinical results and predictors of recurrent target lesion revascularization].

Background: The aim of this study was to report clinical outcomes in patients treated with paclitaxel-coated balloons (PCB) for in-stent restenosis (ISR) in both bare metal (BMS) and drug-eluting stent (DES).

Methods: Between May 2009 and December 2015, we treated 155 ISR in 140 patients. At recruitment, 35% of patients had diabetes.

Mitochondrial trafficking is influenced by neuronal activity, but it remains unclear how mitochondrial positioning influences neuronal transmission and plasticity. Here, we use live cell imaging with the genetically encoded presynaptically targeted Ca indicator, SyGCaMP5, to address whether presynaptic Ca responses are altered by mitochondria in synaptic terminals. We find that presynaptic Ca signals, as well as neurotransmitter release, are significantly decreased in terminals containing mitochondria.

Loss of Dendritic Complexity Precedes Neurodegeneration in a Mouse Model with Disrupted Mitochondrial Distribution in Mature Dendrites.

Correct mitochondrial distribution is critical for satisfying local energy demands and calcium buffering requirements and supporting key cellular processes. The mitochondrially targeted proteins Miro1 and Miro2 are important components of the mitochondrial transport machinery, but their specific roles in neuronal development, maintenance, and survival remain poorly understood. Using mouse knockout strategies, we demonstrate that Miro1, as opposed to Miro2, is the primary regulator of mitochondrial transport in both axons and dendrites.
