Results of studies performed in 12 astronauts after flights revealed that in some of them re-adaptation to the Earth gravitation involved increase of spontaneous oculomotor activity in immobile position of the head, suppression of the otolith function in static 40 degrees bending of the head towards right or left shoulders, enhancement of vestibular responsiveness in rotation of the head around the body longitudinal axis at the rate of 0.125 Hz.

Analysis of element composition (sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, zinc, copper, iron, total sulfur and its compounds, chloride, and inorganic phosphorus) in 40 normal subjects (22 women and 18 men aged 17-30 years) showed that the composition is specific for each of the analyzed media (blood, plasma, erythrocytes, urine, saliva, exhaled air condensate). Element composition of exhaled air condensate is described for the first time. Analysis of element composition in 102 patients with asthma demonstrated characteristic shifts in the concentrations of some macro- and trace elements, which confirms the clinical significance of analysis and correction of deviations in the element composition of biological media.

Radiotherapeutic efficacious of the compounds from major organs and tissues of Central Asian tortoise--the animal known for its unique radioresistance, has been checked up. Along with the so well-known compounds as the plasma ones, tortoise spleen extracts (TSE) and the ones from the liver of adult animals and embryos, extracts from kidneys and muscles have been shown to increase the survivability rate of irradiated rats and mice. The compound, that called "Tortezin" shows the highest blood cell cytosol effect.

A total of 956 epidural anesthesia procedures during cesarean section have been reviewed. In 234 cases epidural anesthesia was used repeatedly for analgesia during cesarean section in women with scars on the uterus. The course and quality of anesthesia were compared during the first and repeated procedure.

An experience is reported with the use of epidural-sacral anesthesia for artificial abortion in 102 primiparae+- and nulligravidas and in 86 patients with scarring deformity or partial atresia of the endocervix. Two percent trimecaine was used in a single dose 6 mg/kg. A high efficiency of anesthesia was seen in 92% of cases.
