Recovery of this protein as oat protein concentrate (OPC) results in a source of cereal protein for food and improves the overall economy of the process. The risk of developing type 2 diabetes mellitus and overall risk of cardiovascular disorders were calculated.

Studies of Influenza A/H1N1 A/Tomsk/13/2010 Virus Topology during Development of Infectious Process in Mammals.

Influenza A/H1N1 A/Tomsk/13/2010 virus registered in Siberia in 2010 proved to be an extremely pathogenic strain. Dynamic study of the topology of this influenza virus strain in the lungs, liver, kidneys, lymph nodes, and great vessels of infected mice was carried out. Influenza A virus was detected by immunohistochemical methods in cells of different histogenesis in all the studied organs throughout the observation period (days 1-30 postinfection), which indicated effective replication and long persistence of influenza A/H1N1 A/Tomsk/13/2010 virus in mammalian cells.

A multilocus assessment of nuclear and mitochondrial sequence data elucidates phylogenetic relationships among European spirlins (Alburnoides, Cyprinidae).

The phylogenetic relationships and taxonomy of the spirlins in the genus Alburnoides are examined by comparative sequencing analysis of mitochondrial and nuclear markers. Molecular analyses revealed 17 Eurasian lineages divided into two main clades, termed the Ponto-Caspian and European in accordance with the lineage distribution. The indel diagnostics of β-actin and S7 markers and translation of cyt b to the amino acid chain were evaluated as a reliable identifying tool for most of the recognised lineages.

Human pluripotent stem cells provide a unique platform for genes function study, disease modeling, and drugs testing. Consequently, technology for fast, accurate and well controlled genome manipulation is required.

[The frequency and spectrum of cytogenetic anomalies in employees of Siberian Group of Chemical Enterprises].

The results of the study of frequency and spectrum of cytogenetic anomalies in 657 healthy employees of the main facilities of the Siberian Group of Chemical Enterprises exposed to external, internal and combined irradiation are presented. No dependence between age and chromosome aberrations frequency was revealed. Chronic external exposure appeared to be the main factor of induction of chromosome aberrations.

[Experimental study of dicholine succinate pharmacokinetics].

We have conducted for the first time an experimental study of pharmacokinetics of dicholine succinate (DCS) for different ways of its administration in rats The quantitative evaluation of DCS and its metabolites was performed by the radioactive isotope technique. Various parameters of DCS pharmacokinetics were estimated, including the dose dependence of drug content in the blood plasma, total bioavailability, distribution kinetics, and the main ways of DCS excretion.

[Redox-dependent processes in blood plasma, neutrophils and erythrocytes of patients with ovary cancer after polychemotherapy by CAP scheme].

The dynamics of the redox-dependent processes in blood plasma, neutrophils and erythrocytes of the patients with ovary cancer of the IIIrd clinical stage by FIGO after polychemotherapy according to the CAP scheme is considered. In the blood plasma and erythrocytes there were estimated the values of protein oxidative modification: carbonyl derivatives at λ = 346 nm, 370 nm, 430 nm and 530 nm; the lipid peroxidation parameters: malonic dialdehyde, dienic conjugates, ketodiens, shiff's bases; the fermentative chain of the antioxidant system: activities of catalase, glutationtransferase and superoxide dismutase. In the peripheral blood neutrophils there were cytochemically determined the myeloperoxidase activity and the number of the active neutrophils in the spontaneous NBTR-test.

Effects of nanodiamonds of explosive synthesis on the skin of experimental animals locally exposed to cobalt and chrome ions.

Experiments in vivo demonstrated the protective effect of modified nanodiamonds on guinea pig skin after local exposure cobalt ions, but not chrome ions. The observed differences are determined by different adsorption of these ions by nanodiamonds: in vitro experiments showed that nanodiamonds adsorbed cobalt ions, but not chrome ions from water solutions. The perspectives of using modified nanodiamonds as a new adsorbent for prevention of allergic contact dermatitis induced by ions of bivalent metals are discussed.

Materials And Methods: 54 tuberculosis patients, 47 contact by TB, individuals and 43 healthy donors were examined. All the individuals included into the study had QuantiFERON-TB Gold In-Tube (Cellestis, Australia) carried out.

[The cytotoxic activity of natural killer cells in patients with the first episode of endogenous psychosis (a comparative study of test methods)].

Authors studied the cytotoxic activity (CA) of natural killer cells (NK) in 16 schizophrenic patients, aged from 18 to 25 years, with the first episode of psychosis. A significant decrease in CA NK was found in the total group of patients compared to healthy controls that suggested the dysregulation of natural immunity at this stage of disease. The addition of serotonin to the cell culture in vitro in concentrations 10-9 M stimulated the NK activity while the elimination of monocytes resulted in the significant reduction of CA NK.

[The estimate of association between gene polymorphisms and the frequency and spectrum of cytogenetic abnormalities in the cohort of Siberian Group of Chemical Enterprises employees exposed to professional irradiation (microarray studies)].

The results from the research into the association between polymorphisms of genes-candidates for individual radiosensitivity and the frequency and spectrum of cytogenetic abnormalities are analyzed. The study was conducted among Siberian Group of Chemical Enterprises healthy employees exposed to professional irradiation in a dose range of 100-300 mSv. Genotyping of DNA samples from 96 employees was carried out by oligonucleotide microarray: "Cancer_SNP_Panel GT-17-211" ("Illumina") containing 1, 421 SNP-markers (Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms) of 406 genes.

[Detection of prostate cancer based on monitoring of prostate-specific antigen in outpatient clinic].

The study included 320 men with suspected prostate cancer (PC). The mean age was 59 years. The detection rate of prostate cancer depending on PSA level was evaluated.

[Effects of nootropic drugs on behavior of BALB/c and C57BL/6 mice in the exploratory cross-maze test].

Exploratory behavior, locomotor activity, and anxiety in inbred mice of C57BL/6 and BALB/c strains subchronically treated with placebo or various types of nootropic (cognition enhancing) drugs (piracetam, phenotropil, noopept, semax, pantogam, nooglutil) have been evaluated using the exploratory cross-maze test. It was found that BALB/c mice in comparison to C57BL/6 mice are characterized by greater anxiety and lower efficiency of exploratory behavior in the previously unfamiliar environment. All tested drugs clearly improved the exploratory behavior in BALB/c mice only.

[Dispermic androgenesis in sturgeons with the help of cryopreserved sperm: production of androgenetic hybrids between Siberian and Russian sturgeons].

Dispermic androgenesis was used to produce, for the first time, an androgenetic progeny of the Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser baerii) and the androgenetic nuclear cytoplasmic hybrids (Siberian sturgeon, A. baerii x Russian sturgeon, A. gueldenstaedtii) using cryopreserved sperm.
