The study was carried out on 166 gastric polyps removed by endoscopic polypectomy. In 116 cases the formations were true (glandular) polyps, in 12 (10.3% of the true polyps) fibrous pseudopolyps.

The distribution of receptors in the intact cells is diffuse and random. Con A receptors, cross-linked by their ligand, are removed from the surface of the lamellar cytoplasm of living substrate-spread platelets.

The effect of high osmotic pressure on the morphology and organization of the cytoskeleton and cell-to-substrate contacts of normal mouse embryonic fibroblasts was studied. One-hour incubation of the cells in a hypertonic medium made by the addition of 0.25 M or 0.

It was shown that subanalgesic doses of enkephalins and their synthetic analog facilitated the appearance of analgesic action on subthreshold antinociceptive-brain stimulation and potentiated the analgesic effect of threshold central gray stimulation. Subanalgesic and low analgesic doses of the peptides increased antinociceptive effect of electroacupuncture.

Microvilli, microspikes and microplicae were predominant in various layers of normal squamous epithelium. It is suggested that transformation of microvilli into microspikes and then into microplicae accompanied the formation and disassembly of desmosomes in the normal epithelium.

It was shown that normal as well as transformed fibroblasts are able to stabilize their surface independently on the presence of colcemid, however, in transformed cells this ability is more expressed. Possible mechanisms of this stabilization of cellular surface, independent on microtubules is discussed.

The method is based on the determination of quantitative similarity of the histological changes detected in the patient with the reference ones. This enables the histomorphologist to overcome the difficulties encountered in determining the degree of intensity of the inflammatory process and to apply computer techniques to timely and correct diagnosis of reflux esophagitis.

The serotonin re-uptake blockers fluoxetin and citalopram (10 and 20 mg/kg) did not exert clear analgesic effect or did not potentiate morphine action in doses of 5 and 10 mg/kg. The GABA agonist muscimol (0.

The experiments on male white rats have shown that electroacupuncture of the point analog Da-Djuy abolished the consequences of pain-induced acute emotional stress. The stress-protective action of electroacupuncture was comparable with the effect of diazepam in a dose of 2.5 mg/kg and resulted in a significant reduction of the number of gastric erosions and in emotional reactivity, as well as in the increased aggressiveness as compared with the control group exposed to stress.

Analogous changes in the pain reaction pattern arose during electric stimulation of the central grey matter and posterior parts of the lateral hypothalamus. In the presence of antinociceptive brain stimulation.

A distinctive trait of these variants, isolated by different methods, is a rounding of the majority of cells under the influence of the moderate cooling (at 18 degrees C for 30-60 min). In the serum-free medium, no rounding occurs.

These cells, as well as fibroblasts, were found to contain a well developed microtubular system sensitive to colcemid. The assembly of microtubules after washing out of colcemid began from one or two perinuclear centers, associated with the cilium-like structure.

Changes in individual signs of a complex reaction in response to a graded stimulation of the cutaneous nerve were assessed. Probone in doses of 50--150 mg/kg and morphine in doses of 2--4 mg/kg raised the threshold of the flexor reflex and reduced manifestations of the emotional-behavioral and vegeto-motor reactions of the animals.

Substrate-attached normal mouse fibroblasts, transformed mouse fibroblasts (L-strain) and epithelial cells (MPTR strain) were incubated with two ligands that are cross-linking different group of the surface receptors: concanavalin A and cationic ferritin. Surface-attached ligands were revealed by the indirect immunofluorescent methods. The incubation of control cells with these ligands induced a patching of corresponding surface receptors, and a clearing of these receptors from the surface zones located on the lamellar cytoplasm near the cell edges actively protruding pseudopodia.
