ELISA and RT-PCR represent the standard tools for the sensitive identification of viruses in biological samples, but they lack the capacity to finely characterize the binding of viruses or viral antigens to monoclonal antibodies (MAbs). Biosensing technologies are gaining increasing importance as powerful MAb characterization tools in the field of virology. Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) is an optical biosensing technology already used for the in depth characterization of MAbs of diagnostic and therapeutic value.

Although there has been considerable literature surrounding spirituality and its role in music therapy, there stands to be a gap surrounding religious faith and its effect on clinical practice by practitioners. This phenomenological study, conducted among accredited music therapists in Canada, examined the impact religious faith has on their clinical practice. The study found that religious devotion had more positive benefits than negative repercussions in the workplace among these professional practitioners.

The use of marginal donor livers, particularly steatotic livers, could help to resolve the problem of organ shortage and wait list mortality. Ischemia-free liver transplant with the potential to avoid ischemiareperfusion injury and related complications, particularly early allograft dysfunction, could positively encourage the use of marginal donorlivers and extend the donor pool. Here, we describe the first case in a Western country of ischemia-free liver transplant of a marginal donor liver.

The main aim of this study is to quantitatively evaluate the differences, in terms of exposure to PM (particulate matter), between WFO (working-from-office) and WFH (working-from-home) conditions. Two measurement surveys were performed: a long-term and a short-term campaign, focused on the monitoring of personal exposure to size-fractionated PM in these different working conditions. Results of the long-term campaign show that the WFH subject is exposed to higher (up to 4 times) PM concentration, compared to the WFO subject.
