The application of trimetazidine in healthy individuals: a systematic review.

Objective: Currently, there is no evidence to support trimetazidine (TMZ) administration aimed at enhancing physical performance or post-exercise recovery in healthy individuals or athletes from the general and athletic populations, respectively. Considering the lack of empirical data, from a scientific and practical perspective, it would be interesting to review research with high methodological quality that examines the effects of TMZ on healthy individuals and athletes from various age groups.

Materials And Methods: Data sources included English articles that were initially searched by keywords utilizing PubMed, Scopus databases, and the Cochrane Library and published prior to November 2022.

Evaluating Changes in The Clinical Presentation of Acute Obstructive Bronchitis in Preschool Children Using Antiviral Therapy.

Unlabelled: A randomized double-blind controlled study was carried out to evaluate changes in the clinical presentation of acute obstructive bronchitis in preschool children using antiviral, anti-inflammatory therapy. The study enrolled 54 subjects'(aged 3-6 years old) hospitalized with verified diagnosis of acute obstructive bronchitis. Their parents had given their informed consent for participation.

Influence of N-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine-induced injury of dopaminergic nigrostriatal system on movement components of the instrumental reflex and motor thalamic neurons' reactions in the cat.

Peculiarities of excitation and inhibition in ventral lateral and ventral anterior thalamic neurons were studied in cats with movement disorders (bradykinesia and muscle rigidity) induced by injury of nigrostriatal dopaminergic neurons with neurotoxin N-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (5 mg/kg daily, intramuscularly for five days). As was shown in chronic experiments, mean discharge frequency of neurons related to initiation of upper limb movements increased. Excitation of these neurons coincided with movement initiation, flexion and extension becoming more prominent and prolonged as compared with normal animals.

Unitary responses of the caudate nucleus to direct stimulation.

Unitary responses of the caudate nucleus to stimulation of various parts of it were investigated by extracellular recording. Latent periods of response discharges varied from 3.5 to 40 msec.
