The design, fabrication, and characterization of an 8×8 lossless optical switch, based on semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) gates, is reported. It comprises three stages of 2×2 switches into an 8×8 Banyan switch, for a total of 48 SOAs. Three SOAs on each optical path provide gain to compensate for on-chip and fiber coupling loss, thereby making the optical switch lossless.

Being a natural fit to (and a key building block of) the regrowth-free taper-assisted vertical integration platform, such a spot-size converter enables efficient and displacement-tolerant fiber coupling to InP-based photonic integrated circuits at a wavelength of 1.31 μm.

Presented herein are the results of a prospective observational study aimed at assessing the outcomes of two-month administration of Phlebodia 600 (600 mg diosmin) in patients suffering from class C0s-C3 CVD according to the CEAP classification. The study comprised a total of 868 patients, including 175 (20.

We designed and fabricated a dual-waveguide AlGaAs chip. The design consists of a lower waveguide layer for efficient end-fire coupling to a single-mode fiber, an upper waveguide layer for high refractive index contrast waveguides, and a vertical SSC to connect the two waveguide layers.
