: Orthodontic archwires undergo chemical and structural changes in the complex intraoral environment. The present work aims to investigate the safe duration for intraoral use (related to the nickel release hypothesis) of different types of nickel-containing wires. By analyzing how the nickel content (NC) varies over time, we aim to provide practical recommendations for the optimal use of said archwires.

IL-10 is the main anti-inflammatory cytokine and plays a multifaceted role in host protection. The study aimed to investigate circulating IL-10 in 32 dogs naturally infected with and , identified by PCR positivity, and 33 PCR-negative animals which tested positive for antibodies against these pathogens, as well as 22 healthy animals.

The extraction efficiency of the ligand did not decrease, even at a nitric acid concentration 4 times higher than that of the ligand in the organic phase. X-ray diffraction analysis established that protonation leads to the preorganization of the ligand due to the reversal of bipyridyl rings into the binding conformation when both nitrogen atoms are turned to one side.

The Yb:Ca(Gd,Y)AlO laser, which operates at a repetition rate of 65.6 MHz via soft-aperture Kerr-lens mode-locking, is pumped by a spatially single-mode, fiber-coupled diode laser.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTwo novel 1,10-phenanthroline-2,9-diamide ligands were constructed on the basis of 2-phenylpyrrolidine and obtained as pure diastereomers. These ligands demonstrated advanced properties in liquid-liquid extraction tests. They revealed high efficiency of americium(III) extraction alongside with the record values of selectivity in the separation of americium from light lanthanides from strongly acidic media.
