Use of a Personalized Clinical Decision Support System for Dosing in Psychopharmacotherapy in Patients with Alcoholic Hallucinosis Based on Pharmacogenomic Markers.

Introduction: Alcoholic hallucinosis (AH) is one of the severe complications of chronic alcoholism, characterized by psychotic symptoms such as auditory hallucinations and delusions. Haloperidol is widely used to treat AH; however, its therapy is often complicated by side effects. A personalized approach using pharmacogenetic testing (particularly the CYP2D6 polymorphism) allows individualization of haloperidol dosage, improving both safety and efficacy of therapy.

Visual Functions in Patients With Leber Hereditary Optic Neuropathy (LHON).

Background: Most of the data on visual functions in Leber hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) is based on patient questionnaires. Our study assessed the impact of LHON on visual function by testing facial recognition and execution of purposeful actions.

Methods: Twelve participants with LHON with central scotoma ranging from 5° to 20° and 12 unaffected age-matched controls were involved in our study.

Transparent Zinc Oxide Memristor Structures: Magnetron Sputtering of Thin Films, Resistive Switching Investigation, and Crossbar Array Fabrication.

This paper presents the results of experimental studies of the influence of high-frequency magnetron sputtering power on the structural and electrophysical properties of nanocrystalline ZnO films. It is shown that at a magnetron sputtering power of 75 W in an argon atmosphere at room temperature, ZnO films have a relatively smooth surface and a uniform nanocrystalline structure. Based on the results obtained, the formation and study of resistive switching of transparent ITO/ZnO/ITO memristor structures as well as a crossbar array based on them were performed.

Antibacterial effect of new photocatalytically active "complex oxides/PMMA" composites under visible-light irradiation.

New photocatalytic materials based on complex oxides and a widely used and cheap polymer (PMMA) have been prepared. Among complex oxides previously investigated, the following have been used-RbTeWO, CsTeMoO, CsVTeO, NaVMoO, KVMoO. For comparison, the binary oxides TiO and WO were used.
