The following systematic review aimed to gather information on the effectiveness of Respiratory Muscle Training (RMT) with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patients. The method followed the ENTREQ and PRISMA protocol. MEDLINE, Cochrane, and Science Direct databases were used to source relevant literature.

Identifying resilience: a system safety review of trauma and orthopaedic theatres.

A prospective, qualitative study, of trauma and orthopaedic theatres was undertaken using the CARe QI handbook and the SEIPS framework, with the aim of preventing future Never Events. The study demonstrated a new approach, focussed on understanding 'work as done' to identify opportunities to improve system resilience, tested, using the Model for Improvement. Undertaken during the Covid-19 pandemic, it demonstrates that such conditions should not be a deterrent to observational studies, but requiring greater time and resource than a standard investigation, the approach may not align with current organisational or regulatory expectations.

Nerve growth factor (NGF) and its receptors, the neurotrophic receptor tyrosine kinase 1 (NTRK1/TrkA) and the common neurotrophin receptor (NGFR/p75), are increasingly implicated in cancer progression, but their clinicopathological significance in oesophageal cancer is unclear. In this study, the expression of NGF, NTRK1 and NGFR were analysed by immunohistochemistry in a cohort of 303 oesophageal cancers versus 137 normal adjacent oesophageal tissues. Immunostaining was digitally quantified and compared to clinicopathological parameters.
