Background: Thyroid dysfunction in pregnancy can adversely impact maternal and fetal outcomes. However, the association between thyroid status and specific adverse outcomes needs clarity, especially in understudied regions.
Objective: This prospective cohort study aimed to illuminate the multifaceted associations between maternal thyroid dysfunction and feto-maternal outcomes in Gujarat, India.
Background: Metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is a major public health problem worldwide. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of MAFLD and evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of the Fatty Liver Index (FLI) compared to ultrasonography for detecting fatty liver in adults attending a tertiary care hospital in Gujarat, India.
Methods: This cross-sectional study included 500 adults visiting the outpatient department between January 2023 and December 2023.

Aim: The aim of the study was to develop a method which can help us achieve precise and accurate direct bonding (DB).
Background: Proper and accurate bracket position during orthodontic bonding is one of the main concerns for the clinician. Proper bonding reduces the effort to achieve good finishing by minimizing the wire bending.
As part of our interest into the bioinorganic chemistry of gallium, gallium(III) complexes of the azole ligands 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole (btd), 1,2,3-benzotriazole (btaH), and 1-methyl-4,5-diphenylimidazole (L) have been isolated. Reaction of btaH or btd with GaBr(3) or GaCl(3) resulted in the mononuclear complexes [GaBr(3)(btaH)(2)] (1) and [GaCl(3)(btd)(2)] (2), respectively, while treatment of GaCl(3) with L resulted in the anionic complex (LH)(2)[GaCl(4)] (3). All three complexes were characterized by single-crystal X-ray crystallography and IR spectroscopy, while their antiproliferative activities were investigated against a series of human and mouse cancer cell lines.

The leukemic cell line, K562, is a bcr/abl (Philadelphia chromosome) positive cell line that is resistant to DNA-damaging agents, including gamma-irradiation. Treatment with genistein increased apoptosis and promoted G2-phase arrest in the non-apoptotic population of the gamma-irradiated K562 cells.
