[Treatment of contusion of moderate severity in children in outpatient clinics].

Objective: To determine the efficacy of cortexin in treatment of traumatic brain injuries with contusion of moderate severity in children in an outpatient clinics.

Materials And Methods: Seventy-four patients, aged 6-13 years, with a traumatic brain injury and a moderate brain contusion were examined. A comprehensive clinical examination, including neurological and ophthalmological examinations, EEG, brain CT scan, testing using a set of experimental psychological techniques, was performed.

[Results of neuroprotective therapy in primary open-angle glaucoma].

Purpose: To determine the relationships between the changes in functional parameters of vision that occur in primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) patients on neuroprotective therapy.

Material And Methods: The study included 146 patients with stages I-III POAG aged 40 to 85 years. The patients were randomly divided into the study group and the control group at 2:1 ratio.

[Sonographic parameters of spleen in children depending on the level of anthropogenic pollution of areas of residence].

Sonographic parameters of spleen in children living in the Orenburg region taking into account the level and character of anthropogenous pollution of territory of residing are studied. The analysis of indicators of pollution of factors of inhabitancy (atmospheric air, potable water soil) is carried out. One-stage population research of 7000 children aged from 1 to 18 years living in urbanized and rural territories is conducted.

[Children's health status in relation to the level and nature of anthropogenic pollution].

The frequency of health groups 1 and 2 was studied in children living in the areas of the Orenburg Region, by taking into account the level and nature of their anthropogenic pollution. The pollution indicators of environmental objects (ambient air, drinking water, soil) were analyzed. A cross-sectional population-based study was conducted in 7000 children aged 1 month to 18 years, who lived in the urban and rural areas.

[Propagation and structure of noninfectious diseases in children and adolescents living in regions with various anthropogenic load].

A survey was made in 3205 children aged 6-17 years from the families of natives residing in the areas exposed to nuclear explosion (Group 1). A control group comprised 3200 children living under the similar climatogeographic and social conditions (Group 2). In Group 1 children circulatory diseases, lymphadenopathies, connective and bone tissue dysplasias come first in the structure of morbidity.
