Background: The availability of in situ normothermic regional perfusion (NRP) or ex situ normothermic machine perfusion (NMP) has revolutionized donation after circulatory death (DCD) liver transplant (LT). While some have suggested that NRP and NMP may represent competing technologies for DCD LT, there are many scenarios where these technologies can function in a complementary manner.

Methods: Between January 2022 and March 2024, 83 DCD LTs were performed using NRP (62 NRP alone and 21 NRP + NMP) and were compared with 297 static cold storage (SCS) DCD LTs.

Talpid3 is a basal body protein required for the formation of primary cilia, an organelle involved in signal transduction. Here, we asked if Talpid3 has a role in the regulation of differentiation and/or self-renewal of ES cells and whether cells lacking cilia due to a deletion in Talpid3 can be reprogrammed to induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. We show that mouse embryonic limb fibroblasts which lack primary cilia with a targeted deletion in the () gene can be efficiently reprogrammed to iPS cells.

Background: Long-standing Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) increases the risk of colonic neoplasia, necessitating effective screening strategies. This network meta-analysis (NMA) compared the efficacy and safety between different endoscopic modalities in the high-definition (HD) era.

Methods: We searched CENTRAL, ClinicalTrials.

Purpose: The present study aimed to evaluate the appropriate protocol to be followed in the maxillary esthetic zone involving single dental implants by comparing three implant placement protocols: immediate implant placement (IIP) with and without the socket shield technique (SST) and delayed implant placement (DIP) in terms of dynamic alterations in hard and soft tissues and patient-related outcome measures (PROMS).

Materials And Methods: A total of 75 patients were recruited for the study and randomly allocated to the SST, IIP, and DIP groups (25 each). They were subjected to Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) assessment pre-operatively, 6 and 12 months post-operatively to evaluate changes in Crestal Bone Thickness (CBT).
