[Treatment features of odontogenic cystic formations of the mandible using cystotomy].

Aim: The aim of the study was to improve the types of surgical intervention when performing biopsy of large-sized cystic formations of the lower jaw by cystotomy.

Material And Methods: 44 patients were examined and surgeries were performed: 12 patients with ameloblastoma, 14 - with keratoxystone tumor, 18 - with dentigerous cyst. All patients had a retained tooth in the cyst cavity.

[Role of phagocytosis activation in the mechanism of therapeutic effect of medical ozone in patients with sluggish purulent inflammations of maxillofacial soft tissues].

Sixty-three patients with local sluggish suppurative inflammations of maxillofacial soft tissues were examined. Medical ozone was added to the treatment protocols of 30 of these patients. Before treatment peripheral blood leukocyte phagocytic activity was decreased in 54 patients, which corresponded to clinical form of a sluggish inflammation.

[Ozone therapy of chronic mandibular osteomyelitis].

Clinical picture, bacterial passage, and immune status were studied in patients with chronic traumatic and chronic odontogenic mandibular osteomyelitis. The deepest disorders of biocenosis and the highest incidence of immunodeficiencies were observed in patients with chronic odontogenic osteomyelitis. Local and total ozone therapy is suggested for antibacterial and immunomodulating treatment.
