[Ultrasonic arthrotomography in the complex diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis].

Ultrasound tomography (UT) was used for visualization of the elbow and knee joints in 52 patients with rheumatoid arthritis and 28 healthy persons. The technique is described. Results were compared with data of roentgenological and scintigraphic examinations.

[The importance of osteoscintigraphy for the early detection of rheumatic joint lesions].

The scintigraphic semeiotics was investigated of involvement of osteoarticular system in rheumatoid polyarthritis in 186 patients (79 of them suffered of rheumatoid arthritis, 62 of systemic lupus erythematosus, 34 of systemic scleroderma, 11 of dermatomyositis). Roentgenological examination was supplemented by consecutive local scintigraphy of axial skeleton and peripheral joint by of gamma rays with labeled 99mTc phosphate complexes. Isoactive zones with subsequent quantitative evaluation of the information were obtained as a result of computerized processing of the scintigraphic images of the joints.

[Pleural involvement in patients with chronic bronchitis].

The extension and pathogenetic role of pleural changes in the development of unspecific chronic pulmonary diseases in 146 workers of different professional groups suffering of chronic bronchitis, were investigated. Ultrasonography and roentgenography were used. The functional state of the lungs was evaluated by means of spirographic and radiological methods.

[Comparative analysis of pancreatic scintigraphy and results of surgical treatment of patients with pancreatic cancer].

The results of radiologic investigation in 47 patients admitted to the clinic for pancreatic cancer were compared with the findings of the performed operative intervention. Visualization of the pancreas with 75 Selenomethionine was performed on the gamma-camera FO-GAMMA-IV (USA). A number of differential diagnostic signs of the pancreatic pathology was revealed, dependence between the character and degree of pancreatic changes on a scintigram, and volume of the operative intervention performed was noted.
