[Investigation of trauma weapons with cauterizing surface].

The results of 12 expert examinations of trauma instruments with a cauterizing surface were analyzed. Application traces were examined by using the biological, cytological and histological methods. Despite the destructive cell changes caused by a high temperature, such approach to the mentioned biological material ensured results, that can be a foundation for reliable expert conclusions.

[Determination of hair group by preserved hair cell bulbs].

Difficulties appearing in determining hair group were the reason for conducting this research for the purpose of finding additional possibilities to solve the mentioned problem. It was established that the preliminary cell coloring, related with determination of hair sex, does not influence a consequent detection of antigens. Methods or the fixation of material were selected.

[The detection and investigation of traces of biological origin by cytological methods].

Thirty-four expert evaluations are analyzed in 1993-1996, in which trace particles of animal origin were pieces of material evidence. The presence of cells was certified and their species, group, and organ tissue appurtenance identified. Expert potentialities depending on the time when the object of study was formed and type of examined tissue are discussed.
