[Prophylaxis of pleurectomy complications].

Basing on the literature and the observations of their own data analysis, the authors suggest, that pleurectomy constitutes a reconstructive-restoration operation. Nevertheless, this procedure, due to its complexity and traumatism, not infrequently is complicated by various intraoperative complications, in particular, the life threatening--in 1.1% observations and dangerous for health--in 13.

[Application of simultaneous surgeries in patients with extended pulmonary tuberculosis].

The treatment of extended pulmonary tuberculosis, resistant to antibacterial preparations, constitutes extremely complex problem. The author proposes to apply simultant pulmonary resection and intrapleural thoracoplasty, the simple one or extended, for the treatment of those patients. There were studied up the results of treatment of 401 patients, simultant interventions were used in 134.

[Thoracoscopy in verification of thoracal endometriosis].

The authors submit data from the published literature, showing that endometriosis is a grave disease in young women of reproductive age. The incidence of endometriosis tends to be on the increase. At the same time, cases have come to be seen of polyorgan localization of the process, the thoracal one included.
