The paper is devoted to the investigation of the effect of polyester hydrophobicity and ability for crystallisation on lipophilic drug loading and release from microparticles fabricated on the base of these polymers. Poly(l-lactic acid), poly(d, l-lactic acid) and poly (lactic acid-co-glycolic acid) were synthesised by ring-opening polymerisation using stannous octoate as catalyst, while poly(caprolactone) (PCL) and poly(ω-pentadecalactone) (PPDL) formation was catalysed by lipase. The particles were formed via single emulsion evaporation/diffusion method.

The simple approach for modeling of surface ligand - cell receptor interaction is proposed to control the effectiveness of peptide acceptor selected to be immobilized on a scaffold surface in order to promote specific cell adhesion and their subsequent proliferation and bone tissue formation. For experimental realization of such approach the affinity chromatography with use of macroporous monolithic sorbent is suggested. The biospecific GRGDSP-peptide performed the role of scaffold surface ligand which is responsible for cell adhesion, while the "cells" were simulated by polymer (polystyrene) micro particles with EDYPVDIYYLM-DLSYSMKDD-peptide immobilized on their surface.

The aim of this study was the transformation of the macroporous zirconium dioxide ceramic Sponceram into a biomimetic composite material. To enhance the adhesion of cells and to induce their differentiation into osteoblasts poly-L-lysine and BMP-2 were coupled to polymers and copolymers based on 2-deoxy-N-methacrylamido-D-glucose (ox.p(MAG) and p(MVA)) used as spacer, which were adsorbed onto the ceramic surface.

In the present study, the attempt to synthesize a multibiofunctional polymeric vector to be used for construction of composite scaffolds for bone tissue engineering has been undertaken. The polymers based on 2-deoxy-2-methacrylamido- d-glucose were functionalized by a growth factor (BMP-2), GRGDSP peptide, and poly( l-lysine) using aldehyde chemistry. The covalent modification process was quantitatively studied, and a polymer conjugate containing all these ligands was formed.

Aim: The study of clinical running of gastric or duodenal ulcer in associated coronary heart disease (CHD).

Materials And Methods: 209 CHD patients with gastric ulcer (GU) or duodenal ulcer (DU) were examined clinically plus histological examination of gastric or duodenal mucosa biopsies was made.

Results: In CHD patients GU occurred more frequently (56%) than DU.
