[Medico-ecologic and technologic problems of health promotion in the population of Siberia].

The comprehensive investigations have demonstrated that environmental factors have an unfavourable influence on children's morbidity rates of cancer and congenital diseases. A mechanism has been proposed to solve medical, ecological, and technological problems of public health population.

[Methodological approach to calculating economic losses caused by diseases].

A comprehensive solution of problems related to population's health envisages, among other important measures, the estimation of relative damage caused to national economy by some diseases. In this connection we have formulated a concept of "Relative damage to national economy caused by disease", devised its structure and determined the extent of damage within a region and an enterprise.
