[Comparative analysis of different phacoemulsification techniques in diabetic cataract].

Modified Nagahara phaco-chop technique and Shepherd phacofragmentation were compared. Diabetic cataract phacoemulsification with flexible IOL implantation performed with modified Nagahara phaco-chop technique resulted in twofold decrease of intra- and postoperative complications and better functional outcomes.
