Article Synopsis
  • The study compared bone fragment size and shape produced by ultrasonic and traditional drilling methods during implant site preparation.
  • The experiment involved rib samples divided into two groups, with one undergoing ultrasonic preparation and the other using standard drills, both to a depth of 10 mm.
  • Results showed that the ultrasonic technique created smaller, finer bone debris and less overall debris, which could promote better osseointegration compared to the larger, fractured fragments from the drilling method.
