[Surgical treatment of secondary trigeminal neuralgia].

Objective: To present a case series analysis of surgical treatment of patients with secondary trigeminal neuralgia.

Material And Methods: The treatment of 8 patients with secondary trigeminal neuralgia who underwent surgery since 2021 was analyzed. All records, neuroimaging archive, and follow-up observations were reviewed.

Long-Term Effects of Spinal Cord Stimulation on Pain in Postherpetic Neuralgia.

Introduction: Postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) is a pain syndrome that develops within few months after the acute herpetic outbreak. The pain may be accompanied by specific cutaneous signs in the distribution of affected dermatomes and feel unbearable reaching up to 9-10/10 on visual analog scale (VAS). Despite the introduction of new medications, drug resistance develops in at least 50% of cases.

[The problem of pharmacoresistant tremor in Parkinson's disease and essential tremor].

MR-guided focused ultrasound (MRg-FUS) is a new noninvasive method for the treatment of contralateral disabling and pharmacoresistant tremor. Clinical studies have confirmed the high efficacy and safety of using MRg-FUS in patients with essential tremor and Parkinson's disease, in short and long-term studies. Advantages of this method in comparison with currently used invasive and noninvasive technics, potential brain target areas, the possibility of bilateral intervention, indications and contraindications are discussed.

First experience of thalamotomy by focused ultrasound under MR-guided navigation in the treatment of tremor. Neuroimaging follow-up. Case report and literature review.

The authors describe dynamic MRI and clinical data after non-invasive treatment of tremor in the upper extremity. Thalamotomy by high-intensity focused ultrasound under MR-guided navigation was performed. A 57-year-old patient with Parkinson's disease underwent treatment with focused ultrasound.

Objective: To analyze the results of sphenopalatine ganglion stimulation in treatment of chronic headache.

Materials And Methods: Medical histories of patients who underwent sphenopalatine ganglion stimulation in 4 clinical centers have been analyzed. The analysis included the type of pain and its characteristics, methods of surgery, CT, MRI, radiography before and after surgery.
