One hundred and ninety-five children aged 8 to 13 years, of which 113 are diagnosed with essential arterial hypertension (EAH), and 82 children from the control group without somatic diseases including EAH were examined. All children underwent dental examination. The values of the substrates and the primary products of lipid peroxidation (LPO)--double bond (DB) and diene conjugates (DC) were determined.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFDespite the abundance of research devoted to nosocomial pneumonia, so far there are no clear diagnostic criteria for it and predict the outcome of nosocomial pneumonia is based on the individual clinical, instrumental, laboratory and other parameters that are not related to each other as links in a single pathogenesis. External factors contributing to the development of the pneumonia and determine its prognosis, adequately lit, and the problem lies in the fact that no comprehensive clinical and pathophysiological approach to assessing the outcome of nosocomial pneumonia considering its immunogenetic features. One aspect of learning is nosocomial pneumonia appraisal of immune system, in particular, -- cytokines that have both diagnostic and prognostic value.

Using the Doppler ultrasonography method the condition of brain blood circulation of 90 patients with supratentorial brain tumors (gliomas--43, meningiomas--34, metastasis--9) during pre-surgical period was studied. The factors changing brain blood circulation at patients with with supratentorial brain tumors were brain displacement, increase of intracranial pressure, histologic structure and the first symptoms duration of illness. Localization (for an exception of an occipital lobe) and the size of a tumor directly didn't render influence on blood circulation parameters.
