Background: Patient portal secure messaging allows patients to describe health-related behaviors in ways that may not be sufficiently captured in standard electronic health record (EHR) documentation, but little is known about how cannabis is discussed on this platform.
Objective: This study aimed to identify patient and provider secure messages that discussed cannabis and contextualize these discussions over periods before and after its legalization for medical purposes in Pennsylvania.
Methods: We examined 382,982 secure messages sent by 15,340 patients and 6101 providers from an integrated health delivery system in Pennsylvania, United States, from January 2012 to June 2022.
Background: Stroke is a leading cause of global morbidity and mortality, and understanding modifiable predictors of stroke outcomes is crucial. This study explores the relationship between renal function, assessed via estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) and serum creatinine, and stroke mortality and functional outcomes in a cohort of acute stroke patients in India.
Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted from February 2021 to October 2022, including 104 acute stroke patients from MS Ramaiah Medical College and Hospital, Bengaluru, India.
Objective: To evaluate the pharyngeal airway width and hyoid bone position in children with class II malocclusion and a positive history of sleep problems.
Methods: 60 children aged 8-12 years with skeletal class II malocclusion were segregated into two groups according to the existence of sleep problems: 30 participants with sleep disorders constituted the study group, while 30 participants without sleep disorders formed the control group. Pharyngeal airway space and hyoid bone position were evaluated via a clinical and radiographic examination.
Objective: To evaluate the posterior superior alveolar canal (PSAC) in individuals with cleft lip and palate (CLP) by comparing them with individuals with no cleft lip and palate (NC) using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT).
Setting: This is a cross-sectional, analytical study with a prospective sample.
Patients, Participants: CBCT scans of 29 individuals with no cleft and palate (Group I) and 29 individuals with cleft lip and palate (Group II) were used.

Inappropriate sexual practice like oral sex has been linked with head and neck cancer (HNC). The recent data revealed that about 20% oropharyngeal caner among Indians are associated with oral sex. Thus, we aimed to comprehensively assess the trend of research in oral sex associated with HNC and to predict the research frontiers and potential hotspots in the near future.
