Material surfaces in stochastic flows: Integrals of motion and intermittency.

We consider the line, surface, and volume elements of fluid in stationary isotropic incompressible stochastic flow in d-dimensional space and investigate the long-time evolution of their statistic properties. We report the discovery of a family of d!-1 stochastical integrals of motion that are universal in the sense that their explicit form does not depend on the statistics of velocity. Only one of them has been discussed previously.

NiB-CrC Coatings Prepared by Magnetron Sputtering Using Composite Ceramic NiCr-BC Target Produced by Detonation Spray Coating.

A metal-ceramic composite target for magnetron sputtering was fabricated for the first time by a robotic complex for the detonation spraying of coatings equipped with a multi-chamber detonation accelerator. A mixture of metal and ceramic NiCr/BC powders was sprayed onto the copper base of the cylindrical composite target cathode. The study of the structure of a metal-ceramic composite coating target using scanning electron microscopy showed that the coating material is dense without visible pores; the elemental composition is evenly distributed in the material.

Long-term properties of finite-correlation-time isotropic stochastic systems.

We consider finite-dimensional systems of linear stochastic differential equations ∂_{t}x_{k}(t)=A_{kp}(t)x_{p}(t), A(t) being a stationary continuous statistically isotropic stochastic process with values in real d×d matrices. We suppose that the laws of A(t) satisfy the large-deviation principle. For these systems, we find exact expressions for the Lyapunov and generalized Lyapunov exponents and show that they are determined in a precise way only by the rate function of the diagonal elements of A.

Association of four genetic variants with colorectal cancer in Kazakhstan population.

The study was conducted to search for polymorphisms located in the 10th chromosome associated with colorectal adenocarcinoma in representatives of the Kazakhstan population.
