Polymer Ring-Flexure-Membrane Suspended Gate FET Gas Sensor: Design, Modelling and Simulation.

This work reports the design, modelling, and simulation of a novel polymer MEMS gas sensor platform called a ring-flexure-membrane (RFM) suspended gate field effect transistor (SGFET). The sensor consists of a suspended polymer (SU-8) MEMS based RFM structure holding the gate of the SGFET with the gas sensing layer on top of the outer ring. During gas adsorption, the polymer ring-flexure-membrane architecture ensures a constant gate capacitance change throughout the gate area of the SGFET.

COVID-19 vaccine associated demyelination & its association with MOG antibody.

Background: ChAdOx1-S (Covishield™/Vaxzervria, AstraZeneca) and BBV152 (Covaxin) SARS-CoV-2 vaccines are proven to be safe and effective, but rare complications have been reported.

Objective: To describe reports of central nervous system (CNS) demyelination following ChAdOx1-S and BBV152 vaccinations.

Methods & Results: We report 29 (17 female; mean 38 years) cases of CNS demyelination; twenty-seven occurred in temporal association with ChAdOx1-S vaccine; two in association with BBV152 vaccine.

In the title compound, [CdCl2(C13H12N4S)]·CH3OH, the coord-ination geometry of the Cd(II) ion is slightly distorted square-pyramidal, as indicated by the τ index of 0.36 (8). The S atom, two N atoms from the pyridyl-azomethine moiety and one of the Cl atoms comprise the basal plane, while the other Cl atom occupies the apical position.

Polymer nanocomposite nanomechanical cantilever sensors: material characterization, device development and application in explosive vapour detection.

This paper reports an optimized and highly sensitive piezoresistive SU-8 nanocomposite microcantilever sensor and its application for detection of explosives in vapour phase. The optimization has been in improving its electrical, mechanical and transduction characteristics. We have achieved a better dispersion of carbon black (CB) in the SU-8/CB nanocomposite piezoresistor and arrived at an optimal range of 8-9 vol% CB concentration by performing a systematic mechanical and electrical characterization of polymer nanocomposites.
