Satellite imagery has emerged as the predominant method for performing spatial and temporal water quality analyses on a global scale. This study employs remote sensing techniques to monitor the water quality of the Bisalpur wetland during both the pre and post-monsoon seasons in 2013 and 2022. The study aims to investigate the prospective use of Landsat-8 (L8) and Landsat-9 (L9) data acquired from the Operational Land Imager (OLI) and Thermal Infrared Sensor (TIRS) for the temporal monitoring of turbidity.

The world witnessed much research fund allocation on the COVID-19 outbreak's epidemiology, pathology, impact on lifestyles, social behaviours and treatment possibilities. The highly contagious nature of the disease compelled scientific communities and related organisations to hasten vaccine development and supplies. Well-timed international collaborations resulted in quicker development of varied forms of vaccines against COVID-19.

Per- and polyfluorinated chemicals (PFASs) are very toxic industrial compounds, and fewer studies have been conducted on their presence in the sedimentary environment of the polar region. The present study is a preliminary assessment of the concentration and distribution of PFOA (Perfluorooctanoic acid) in selected fjord systems of the Svalbard archipelago, Norwegian Arctic. The ∑PFOA observed for Smeerenburgfjorden, Krossfjorden, Kongsfjorden Hotmiltonbuktafjorden, Raudfjorden and Magdalenefjorden were 1.

Simultaneous detection of multiple biomarkers is always an obstacle in immunohistochemical (IHC) analysis. Herein, a straightforward spectroscopy-driven histopathologic approach has emerged as a paradigm of Raman-label (RL) nanoparticle probes for multiplex recognition of pertinent biomarkers in heterogeneous breast cancer. The nanoprobes are constructed by sequential incorporation of signature RL and target specific antibodies on gold nanoparticles, which are coined as Raman-Label surface enhanced Raman scattering (RL-SERS)-nanotags to evaluate simultaneous recognition of clinically relevant breast cancer biomarkers i.

Polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDD/Fs) are highly toxic organic compounds, and very few studies on their presence in polar environments have been conducted. This study assessed the concentration and distribution of PCDD/Fs, dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls (DL-PCBs), and non-dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls in selected fjords of the Svalbard archipelago in Norway. The ∑PCDD/Fs observed for Raudfjorden, Smeerenburgfjorden, Magdalenefjorden, and Kongsfjorden were 22.
