Objective: Pre-operative treatment with chemoradiotherapy (CRT) seems to improve local control and overall survival in patients with rectal cancer. The aims of the study were to analyse the impact on overall, disease free and cancer related survival of tumour response to pre-operative CRT and to analyse the influence of the degree of response on long-terms results.
Patients And Methods: Patients with a locally advanced rectal cancer, treated by pre-operative CRT were studied.
Background And Objective: Colorectal cancer is one of the most frequent causes of death in the general population. Our aim was to analyze our experience in the multidisciplinary approach of colorectal carcinoma during a three year period.
Patients And Method: Between January 1996 and December 1998, we studied prospectively 807 patients with colorectal cancer.
A case of chondrome arising from the nasal septum, in a 42-year-old woman, is described. In spite of its benignity the prognostic is doubtful owing to its possible transformation in chondrosarcoma. The fundamentals of this onerous change are both clinical and anatomopathological, and are briefly discussed in the paper.
