The serum levels of cortisol and glycosaminoglycans (GAG) were studied in patients with uveitis in rheumatic diseases (RD). Among the patients with this pathology, there was a more preponderance of persons with low cortisol levels. In acute uvitis in the presence of RD, the mean serum content of this hormone was significantly lower than that in infectious and idiopathic uveitis.

Animals were fed with isocaloric purified diet, part fats which on 30% (on caloricity) of fat marers milk (in experements group), in control groups - combination of lard and sunflower oil in which the ratio of fatty acids omega-6/omega-3 was equal to 0,76. At the end of the 6-th week of feeding (on the 6-th day after a single immunization with a 5% sheep erythrocyte suspension) the immunized animals have demonstrated leucocytosis that was marked by a considerable rise in the level of neutrophils and lymphocytes and a twofold increase of monocyte number.

The geologo-geomorphological factors of the habitat, such as geological formations (mineral composition, structure, the degree of rock metamorphism), tectonics, the history of geological development, relief, paleorelief, were found to be of considerable importance in the formation of the human trace element status. Both deficiency and excess of trace elements was shown to be of pathogenetic value in the development of thyroid diseases.

Pumala virus recombinant nucleocapsid protein was used for the early diagnosis of haemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome. Specific IgM in the sera of patients could be determined by the IEA technique as early as on days 2-3 from the onset of the disease. The diagnostic effectiveness of the test-system was 95% and its specificity was 98%.
