Objective: To investigate the effect of two fractionation regimens on survival in patients with Grade IV gliomas depending on rapid early progression (REP).
Material And Methods: Fractionation with prescribed doses of 2 and 3 Gy was alternately used in 140 patients with morphologically confirmed Grade IV glioma using a pairwise modeling strategy.
Results: REP was diagnosed in 60 (42.

Plasmonics serves as a most outstanding feature of nanoparticle technology and is nowadays used in numerous applications within imaging, sensing and energy harvesting, like plasmonically enhanced solar cells, nanoparticle bioimaging, plasmon-controlled fluorescence for molecular tracking in living cells, plasmon-controlled electronic molecular devices and surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy for single molecular detection. Although plasmonics has been utilized since ancient times, the understanding of its basic interactions has not been fully achieved even under the emergence of modern nanoscience. In particular, it has been difficult to address the "ultra-fine" 1-10 nm regime, important for applications especially in bioimaging and biomedical areas, where neither classical nor quantum based theoretical methods apply.

The formation of stable dimers with 22 nm diameter nanoparticles is confirmed by transmission electron microphotography. The possibility of charge transfer through the linkers between the particles in the dimers is shown by the density functional theory calculations.

Our theory is based on the motivated assumption that the carrier charge density in the doped graphene does not vary significantly during the plasmon oscillations. Charge transfer plasmon (CTP) frequencies, eigenvectors, quality factors, energy loss in the NPs and in graphene, and the absorption power are aspects that are theoretically studied and numerically calculated.

The possibility of calculating thermodynamic characteristics of multicomponent polymer compositions with specific interactions of functional groups from experimentally obtained sorption isotherms is shown. An algorithm for calculating pair interaction parameters, estimating concentration dependences of chemical potential and Gibbs free energy of mixing, and predicting the phase state of polymer mixtures was presented for the first time for such systems.
