Juvenile hormone plays a "status quo" role in Drosophila melanogaster larvae, preventing the untimely metamorphosis, and performs a gonadotropic function in imagoes, ensuring the ovaries' preparedness for vitellogenesis. The decreased level of juvenile hormone results in reproductive disorders in D. melanogaster females including a delay in the oviposition onset and a fertility decrease.

Here, we analyzed the effects of two strains belonging to wMel and wMelCS genotypes on traits, such as fertility, survival under acute heat stress, and developmental rate.

On point perforating defects in bilayer structures.

This article deals with the issue of perforating point defects (pores) in a bilayer heterostructure composed of striped borophene and graphene. Three types of non-equivalent vacancies of the minimum size are considered. These include a single vacancy and two double vacancies.
