Recently, the US Food and Drug Administration approved Pathogen Reduced Cryoprecipitated Fibrinogen Complex (INTERCEPT Fibrinogen Complex [IFC]) for the treatment of bleeding associated with fibrinogen deficiency, which can be stored at room temperature and has a shelf life of 5 days after thawing.
