Vasodilator drugs and heart-related outcomes in systemic sclerosis: an exploratory analysis.

Background And Aims: Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is an autoimmune connective disease characterised by excessive extracellular matrix deposition and widespread skin and internal organ fibrosis including various cardiac manifestations. Heart involvement is one of the leading causes of death among patients with SSc. In this study, we aimed to assess the effect of various vasodilator treatments.

F2c.*C20209T mutation in patients with a history of thrombosis: A case report, retrospective 2 site-results and review of the literature.

Introduction: G20210A (c.*97G>A) prothrombin gene variant, found in white population has been associated with an increased risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE). Other rare polymorphisms in F2 gene (C20209T) have been reported, more rare and touching black people, but its potential association with VTE remain uncertain.

Hydroxychloroquine levels in pregnancy and materno-fetal outcomes in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus patients.

Objectives: Data about hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) levels during pregnancy are sparse. We assessed HCQ whole blood levels at first trimester of pregnancy as a potential predictor of maternal and obstetric/fetal outcomes in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).

Methods: We included pregnant SLE patients enrolled in the prospective GR2 study receiving HCQ, with at least one available first-trimester whole-blood HCQ assay.

History of pre-eclampsia does not appear to be a risk factor for vascular phenotype in women with systemic sclerosis.

Background: Vascular phenotype is associated with a poor prognosis in systemic sclerosis (SSc). The identification of its risk factors could facilitate its early detection.

Objectives: To explore risk factors for a vascular phenotype of SSc, among them a history of pre-eclampsia.
