Recognition at the Heart of the Complex Situations Experienced by People With Chronic Musculoskeletal Pain.

Objective: Chronic musculoskeletal pain (CMSP) is frequent in chronic diseases, decreasing the quality of life of these patients. In a survey conducted in Belgium in 2019, chronic pain was named by patients as the main factor of complexity in their lives. The objective of our research was to provide elements to understand why and how CMSP contributes to the complexity of these people's lives.

Prophylactic Proton Pump Inhibitors in Upper Gastrointestinal Bleeding: Impact and Underprescription in a French Multicentric Cohort.

Background: Appropriate prescription of Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) remains an important concern amid the rising overuse. A gap exists in the literature regarding the benefit of PPI prophylaxis and the consequences of underprescription in patients at risk for upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGIB).

Aims: This study aims to describe the characteristics of hemorrhage in relation to PPI use in patients experiencing UGIB, with a focus on high-risk individuals requiring gastroprotection.

Risk of anti-TNF therapy on pregnancy, breastfeeding, live vaccines and related information in patients with inflammatory bowel disease: Real-world data from a nationwide study.

Background: Anti-TNF are usually maintained during pregnancy in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) but safety is still a concern for them.

Aims: To provide data on management of anti-TNF agents during pregnancy, safety of live vaccines (BCG-MMR-rotavirus) and breastfeeding in newborns and dedicated information delivered to IBD women.

Methods: We performed an observational study in 25 centers from 2016 to 2018.

Small bowel capsule endoscopy and deep enteroscopy procedure load in France: a nationwide population-based study over 7 years.

Capsule endoscopy (CE) is a diagnostic tool mainly used to explore the small bowel (SB), whereas device-assisted enteroscopy (DAE) is preferred for therapeutics. We aimed to describe the procedure load of SB endoscopy in France from 2015 to 2021. Using the French national health data system and the French national hospital discharge database, we identified all SBCEs and DAEs reported between January 2015 and December 2021.

Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement Using Transcatheter Aortic Valve or Dedicated Devices: Current Evidence and Future Prospects.

Transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR) is a novel and evolving field dedicated to addressing the therapeutic challenges posed by patients at high surgical risk with mitral valve disease. TMVR can be categorized into two distinct fields based on the type of device and its specific indications: TMVR with transcatheter aortic valves (TAV) and TMVR with dedicated devices. Similar to aortic stenosis, TMVR with TAV requires a rigid support structure to secure the valve in place.
