We performed a retrospective study in 42 consecutive tracheotomy patients hospitalized in an intensive care unit. Endoscopy was used systematically to assess all patients at decanulation and whenever symptoms suggested possible tracheal granuloma. Nine tracheal granulomas were evidenced.
