Pretreatment of cottage cheese to enhance biogas production.

This study evaluated the possibility of pretreating selected solid fraction of an anaerobic digester treating food waste to lower the hydraulic retention time and increase the methane production. The study investigated the effect of different pretreatments (thermal, chemical, thermochemical and enzymatic) for enhanced methane production from cottage cheese. The most effective pretreatments were thermal and enzymatic.

Primary tuberculous osteomyelitis of the mandible: a case report.

A 10-year-old female child presented with a gradually increasing swelling of 2 months' duration on the left side of her face. The history given by the guardian was not very specific. However, the history revealed possible contact between the child and a tuberculous patient.
