Mole gun injury.

A mole gun is a weapon, which is used to trap and kill moles. This report provides an overview of the state of knowledge of mole gun injuries, comparable to blast injuries caused by fireworks, explosive or gunshot. Over a 2-year period, the authors reported their experience with ten hand injuries caused by mole gun.

[Composite scapular flap for reconstruction of complex humeral tissue loss: a case report].

We report a case of complex reconstruction after traumatic loss of bone and muscle of the upper third of the humerus. A composite flap using the lateral border of the scapula and the pediculated latissimus dorsi muscle was used. The latissimus dorsi flap covered the bony reconstruction and enabled elbow flexion.

[Distal radial-ulnar arthrosis and radial-carpal arthrosis: evaluation on a population from the end of the 15th century to the beginning of the 18th century].

The authors report on a study on the wrists from a medieval population (end of the 15th-century, beginning of the 18th century). The distal radio-ulnar arthrosis and the radio-carpal arthrosis were assessed after a macroscopic examination of the wrist bones. Statistical treatment of the data led to correlations with age, sex and bilateral nature of injuries.

[Compression of the deep motor branch of the ulnar nerve by a synovial cyst. A case report].

The authors report a case of compression of the deep palmar branch of the ulnar nerve beyond the piso-uniform arch by a ganglion cyst. A review of the literature finds this pattern as uncommon.
