[Results of a 5-year screening for prostatic cancer].

The results of 5-year screening (1996-2000) for prostatic cancer in 1129 males 40 to 80 years of age are presented. The urgency of the problem of pulmonary tuberculosis in the elderly and senile age is determined by the high epidemiologic indices of disease incidence, by the difficulties of diagnosis and clinical course and by the peculiarities of rehabilitative measures in the patients of these age groups.
