The article presents definitions of concepts and analysis of classification schemes of medical services of specialty «pathologic anatomy" for last decade and directions of their development. The listing of services of such kind is to include both intravital and postmortem pathomorphologic analyses and organizational legal activity related to control and expertise of quality of medical care on the basis of collegiate clinicalpathologicoanatomic comparisons. It is appropriate to distinguish among pathologicoanatomic services the primary and secondary analyses with their reflection in statistical reports of institutions/subdivisions ofpathologicoanatomic service.

The indicators of quality for impartial quantitative assessment of postmortem examination have been suggested. These indicators were based on ratio of achievement and target indexes of pathologicoanatomic activity. The principles of effective pathology service in the public health system are presented and discussed, by taking into account its state-social administration on the basis of an industrial management model. To set up official pathology committees as pathology service-controlling centers monitoring the situation in the pathology institutions (respective subdivisions of health care facilities and other organizations) developing and implementing proposals to improve the system is the most important condition for the qualitative performance of work and services in the specialty of anatomical pathology.

The authors show it necessary to modify the frequency of divergence between final clinical and anatomical diagnoses as an indicator of health care. This parameter should be integral and based on the analysis of the leading principles of analysis of a revealed faulty of health care, by taking into account both controllability of the underlying disease at the moment of a patient's first visit to a doctor for its manifestations and at the stage of health care delivery when misdiagnosis and maltreatment are made.
