Homes in which families are experiencing stressful and challenging circumstances can foster a social space that engenders violent behaviours in parents, inadequate childcare, and the exposure of children to criminal and antisocial behaviours at an early age in addition to many other negative social and health consequences throughout their development. Family Skills Training offers a combination of parenting knowledge, skill building, competency enhancement, and support to strengthen family protective factors, such as communication, trust, problem-solving skills, and conflict resolution. Through over a decade-long experience piloting evidence-based family skills packages globally, we developed a universal open-source family skills package, "Family UNited" (FU), designed for families with children aged 8 to 15 years living in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC).

We report the midterm outcomes of this approach.
Methods: Between 2009 and 2015, 108 patients (76% male; median age, 63 years) underwent a total of 127 iliofemoral endarterectomies combined with EIA stent grafting.
Objective: During endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms (EVAR), in the absence of a distal iliac landing zone, the Amplatzer plug is increasingly being used to replace other internal iliac artery (IIA) embolization techniques. This study aimed at assessing the technical success, complication occurrence, and durability of the Amplatzer plug for IIA embolization.
Method: From January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2013, all consecutive patients who underwent internal iliac embolization with an Amplatzer plug during EVAR were included in the study.

Objective/background: Persistent type II endoleak (EL II) with sac enlargement after endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm requires treatment to prevent rupture. Embolization is not always effective. Conversion to open repair with stent graft (SG) explantation is a high risk option.

We describe a case of acute ischemia caused by complete knee dislocation with rupture of the popliteal artery that was successfully repaired with superficial femoral artery transposition.
