[The increasing of role of paramedical personnel under application of remote ultrasound studies].

The ultrasound studies are highly informative diagnostic methods. The modern ultrasound devices can be applied as component of mobile telemedicine systems that can significantly increase availability of medical care. However, application of ultrasound scanners requires inclusion of ultrasound diagnostics specialist in the medical team that is not always nor possible or appropriate.

[Membrane contacts of endoplasmic reticulum with plasmalemma in plant cells].

Close contacts of endoplasmatic reticulum membrane with plasmalemma have been shown in common wheat root cells by means of electron microscopy. Qualitative analogy of these contacts with high-permeable intercellular contacts in animals has been preliminary established.

A pilot telemedicine project in the Privolzhsky District, Russia.

The geography of Russia and the complex structure of the Russian health-care system make telemedicine systems especially appropriate. The telemedicine project described here deploys a telemedicine system in Nizhny Novgorod with further integration into the Privolzhsky District telemedicine network. It started with the creation of a telemedicine center with high-speed dedicated communication links to various medical institutions in Moscow, interregional telemedicine centers, and several district hospitals in rural areas of the Privolzhsky district.

[Introduction of tele-medical electrocardiographic system in regional general hospital].

The paper reviews the experience in setting up and functioning of telemedical electrocardiographic system in a regional hospital with utilization of current potential of telephone ECG transmission-reception: individual ECG registers-transmitters including devices with "a reverse loop". It is shown that ECG registration by patients themselves with its transmission by telephone facilitates diagnosis of rare paroxysmal conditions and follow-up of cardiological outpatients. Changes in the number of ECGs made for 25 years in the regional center of remote cardiological diagnosis is analysed.
